The Eyes of Freedom Traveling Memorial has been touring the country to over 400 venues in 37 states since its unveiling in the Ohio Statehouse Rotunda in 2008. We've been to a myriad of venues, such as the Reagan Library, the National Museum of the Marine Corps, and festivals and statehouses across the country. Displaying the full exhibition requires a good deal of space.
There is increasing demand to bring the work to places that can't accommodate such a large installation.
Thanks to the help from the Critical Media Practices Dept at University of Colorado, Boulder. We may soon be able to offer this powerful experience to schools, hospitals, retreat centers and virtually to anyone with a compatible VR headset.
The Eyes of Freedom Immersive Exhibit offers a compelling visual, mental, emotional experience, all in virtual reality, through VR headsets.
This experience blending art & technology will impact this generation and those that follow, inspiring service and respect for all who serve. In this experiential journey, visitors will walk in the footsteps of the men of Lima company from the Marine Reserve unit based out of Columbus, OH who suffered a fateful deployment in 2005. In this powerful exhibition, we learn about service and sacrifice through the Eyes of the men who paid the ultimate price, as well as all who surrounded them. We will learn of their personal stories, as told by their families and brothers in arms.
