National Museum of the Marine Corps
Thanks to the help of our volunteers and the National Museum of the Marine Corps, the Memorial will be displayed for the next six months in the Museum. Be sure to voice your opinion and visit the Museum and the Memorial, which is about half an hour south of Washington, D.C.
We regret that the Museum does not do formal openings for their exhibits and so we won't have an opening ceremony. We hope that all the families will get a chance to visit the Memorial while it is on display. Having our Marines recognized there is a great honor. It is important to note that Bear Stewart, Brad Harper and Kevin Waruinge will also be listed and recognized for their sacrifice in the museum's display panels describing the exhibit and what it represents, as well as the others lost attached to LIMA.
Please spread the word and let friends and family know about the new venue of the Natl Museum of the Marine Corps. Know that the Lima Company Memorial team is still working together to bring honor and gratitude to our Marines of Lima 3/25.
The Lima Company Memorial made its trip back to Columbus and is in Anita's studio to be varnished and maintained. The next venue for the Memorial is currently undetermined.
